A leading doctor in Sierra Leone yesterday (July 29) died from the deadly Ebola disease, after treating dozens of Ebola patients.
Dr. Sheik Humarr Khan had been praised as a national hero for treating the disease in Sierra Leone despite obvious risks to his life, he was confirmed dead by health ministry officials.
This latest outbreak of the incurable disease is the worst in the history of West Africa and is spread through bodily fluids such as Saliva, sweat, blood and urine.
