How Sadiq Daba cancer fund initiative started

When Sadiq Daba’s leukaemia diagnosis became public knowledge, many had thought since help came from leading institutions in Nigeria and abroad, it was manageable. But with the prostate cancer pronouncement, it was clear that he needed help.
And his friends, mostly from the group, Nigeria Entertainment Icons, with 93 participants, knew he had to be massively supported.
From October 28 until the early hours of November 5, they thought of what to do.
Some, including Soni Irabor, Kunle Onime and Mani Onumonu, visited him. And as attention to his plight grew, they encouraged him to seek public assistance.
He eventually agreed, and his UBA account was announced.
In the United States of America, Azuka Jebose set up a gofundme account on November 6.
Now, anyone who wishes to donate from anywhere in the world can now support the good cause…
