Ikeja Exclusive Lions Club 4th President installation with other Club officers

The investiture took place Sunday 12th September 2021 at Adewale Martins Hall, St. Leo’s Catholic Church, Toyin Street, Ikeja Lagos. She amongst others were elected to drive activities of the club for a period from July 2021- June 2022.

The Chairman of the event, Rt. Hon. Lynda Chuba Ikeazu, member representing Onitsha North and South, House of Representatives, Federal Republic of Nigeria and Chairman, House Committee on Maritime Safety, Education and Administration, congratulated Lion Chukwudumebi Ikpeazu on her exceptional track record of reaching out to the vulnerable, year in year out, adding that her numerous philanthropic efforts to ease the economic and social burden of citizens of the nation has not gone unnoticed as they are very much appreciated.

“Your generous provision of maternity kits to mothers and babies, to financial contributions to various shelters and healthy establishments. On behalf of the numerous people you have touched. I say thank you,” she posited.

Lion Club District Governor 404B2, Lion Kayode Oshinuga, congratulated her and pledged to support her as she drives the club to a lofty heights.

He implored her and her team to continue to innovate better ways to improve service delivery to the Club’s communities and create values for members.

Other dignitaries at the event took their turns to pour encomium on Lion Ikpeazu and other elected officials whilst pledging their supports to enable the club meets their settings goals.

Lion Ikpeazu, in her acceptance speech said she is humbled and at the same time feel very honored and privileged for the post and appreciated members of the club for availing her the opportunity to work for the better of the exclusive club as the chief servant for year 2021/2022, stressing that she would strive in every way to be worthy of the confidence reposed on her.

“As I embark on this journey as the 4th president of the club, I have the intention of surpassing the achievements of my predecessors as I have closely followed the foot steps of the charter president,” she said.

She noted that the proposed activities and project set out by the club would gulp N12,425,000.00, adding that this would enable the club attain a successful humanitarian year. “While this amount might look frightening and unachievable due to the current economic reality, however I know that together we can make it work. If each person plays a part by making a donation or picking up a project, our goals would have been achieved. We would have touched lives and our community would be better off.

“Today, we are seated here for a purpose, to contribute to the betterment of the society, think of that children or person that your donation can change his/her live. Your donation could help prevent blindness, give a child school materials, bring warmth to the old people, put a smile on the face of cancer patient,” she stated.

She posited that though their language; tribe; color or religion may differ, service to humanity stands a unifying factor, and implored people to join the club to serve humanity.

She went further to reveal breakdown of the club’s monthly projects and activities, stating that in the month of July 2021, the club procure Maternity kits to mothers and babies of General hospital Ikeja, costing N250,000.

In August, the club engage on empowerment for Girls at Hozanam Home Agindingi. Ikeja with a three days food hub program(How to make spices)! costing N150,000.

Breast cancer campaign, N300,000 and Free Eye Test/ Free Eye Glasses to Ogba Bus Drivers, N400,000

November-Free Diabetes Testing and General vital check up, N350,000.

December-Feeding Inmates at the correctional center(ikoyi prisons)
N500,000.

January-Baby of the year, N150,000. Donation of wheel chairs and hand cluches to the Emergency center of Ifako-Ijaiye General Hospital
N350,000.

February-Love feast with the old people home at Regina Mundi Mushin, N200,000.

March-Legacy Project Cancer Awareness Walk/Radio Presentation/Lecture/Treatment/Dialysis/Donation of 20 beddings to the Oncology Center/50 privacy curtains, N5,000,000

April-Environment Donation of Hand wash Machine/zebra crossing painting/Tree planting, N350,000

May-Celebrating with Sickle Cell Children/Press confrence/Free Genotype test/Blood donation, N500,000 and HIV/ AIDS Campaign
N150,000.

Lion Irene Ikpeazu implored well wishers to help make her administration’s dreams come true by donating generously to the course so as to put smiles on the faces of the less privileged.
