LEARN Africa finally admits Ronke Shonde and alleged lover were employees

LEARN Africa, the publishing company on Oba Akran Road, Ikeja (Lagos), apprehensive about the backlash from admitting that two of those involved in the Shonde murder saga were once in their employ, has finally faced up to the truth.

Today (Wednesday, May 18) when encomium.ng reporter visited, they confirmed that late Ronke Shonde, the 36 year old mother of two children and her alleged lover, Kayode Eyitayo Oluokun were on their pay roll until March 2016.

We got there at 10.37 am, and we were directed to the office of the Human Resources Manager who was unavailable. The chief security officer later showed us the attendance on February 29, 2016, where both Shonde and Oluokun signed in.

We were told that both resigned in the first week of March.

LEARN Africa early released a statement yesterday admitting both resigned…

“Late Mrs Ronke Shonde and Mr Kayode Oluokun were former employees of Learn Africa Plc. However, as at the time of Mrs Shonde’s unfortunate death, they had both ceased to be staff of Learn Africa Plc since the 8th and 10th of March 2016 respectively.

“During the period of their employment, the management is not in a position to confirm or deny the existence of any relationship between these former employees in any other capacity other than as colleagues”, the company stated.

It declared that there is “absolutely no nexus between their former status as employees of the company and the circumstances of Mrs Shonde’s death.

Our checks showed that Shonde and Oluokun moved to another’s publishing company in Ikeja, Four Square – but we are yet to locate the office.
