Liberia quarantines area where new Ebola case appeared‏

A new case of Ebola was reported on Tuesday, June 30, 2015, after a quarantine was held by the Liberian local authorities. The disease which went 42 days without any new case resurfaced with the death of a 17 year-old boy in the Neodowein area, Liberia. He was buried safely to avoid spread of the disease.

Nyenshwah, Liberia’s Assistant Minister of Health, told the press that the area where the boy stayed (near Liberia’s international airport) wasn’t close to the border of Sierra Leone or Guinea where Ebola cases are still being recorded. Teams are trying to find out how the boy must have contacted the disease.
