The Ogun State Governor and Senator elect, Senator Ibikunle Amosun, has solicited the support of the people for the governorship candidate of the Allied Peoples Movement (APM) in the state, Hon. Abdulkabir Adekunle Akinlade.Amosun declared his full support for Akinlade and candidates of the APM, for the March 9 elections, while addressing party supporters at the Oba Odeleye Park, Sokori, in Abeokuta North Local Government Area yesterday.Amosun, appreciating the people for voting for himself and President Muhammadu Buhari, in the last election, charged them to vote en masse for the APM in the governorship and State Houses of Assembly polls.
“This vote is for development, vote to free our people from slavery, and vote for the future of our children. What Akinlade will do, if elected as Ogun State Governor, would surpass my own achievements, Amosun stated, urging the people to vote for the continuity of developmental projects.Also addressing the supporters, Akinlade enjoined the people to troop out to vote for him and other candidates of the party.
The member of the House of Representatives and one time Special Adviser to Amosun on Taxation, assured that he would give priority to the welfare of workers as well as engender even development across the state.
