More support is flooding in for former President Olusegun Obasanjo who urged President Muhammadu Buhari to forget seeking re-election in 2019.
The best response to Obasanjo’s letter is by PERFORMANCE from @MBuhari dissolve ur cabinet, Babachir and Oke should be prosecuted. re-jig ur economy team. Nigerians will still support u when life gets better for them
— Woye (@woye1) January 24, 2018
No matter how much u love President Buhari u know those things Obasanjo said are somehow truth, forget the person that said it…may God guide him in the affairs of the country

“President Muhammadu Buhari” As far as #arewa is concerned , it is president buhari we trust, he remains our incorruptible leader. #Obasanjo #ezekwesili and other #wailing wailers are free to lament . Arewa has decided to trust in #buhari
— Ibrahim Anas (@ArewaProudly) January 24, 2018
Obasanjo (the accuser) and Buhari (the accused) are both expired people that Nigerians are desirous of getting rid of. They both don’t know when they were born and have outlived their usefulness in the political life of Nigeria.
— Peter Ayodele Fayose (@GovAyoFayose) January 23, 2018
Maybe we really need the #Thirdforce has been proposed by #Obasanjo
— akinwale adedayo (@lordig) January 24, 2018
The letter Obasanjo wrote to Buhari is the kind of people I want to have around me ,
When I’m doing wrong LET ME KNOW .
Where I can improve , LET ME KNOW.
When I do well, LET ME KNOW. pic.twitter.com/vzqSne9HSl— Tolulope Ayanwale (@ToolzMakanaki) January 24, 2018
There seems to be a consensus about Obasanjo’s letter, it is absolutely spot on and actually amplifies the mind of millions of Nigerians. Like him or not is not as important as the fact that there is truth all over that letter.
— Raymond (@er_rays) January 24, 2018
If the movement proposed by #Obasanjo is fruitful, it might be an opportunity for sound minds like @DrJoeAbah, @Donald Duke,@Prof. Pat Utomi to emerge. Much more better than old wine in new bottles we have been practising.
— akinwale adedayo (@lordig) January 24, 2018
The 2019 presidential election will test the myth behind Olusegun Obasanjo’s letters, that often lead to the “overthrow” of incumbents be it military or civilian.
— Nnamdi Anekwe-Chive (@nnamdianekwe) January 24, 2018
Obasanjo’s letter , If carefully considered without any partisan, should be taken seriously
— The Marine (@mrerickcarter) January 24, 2018
it is very evident that the problem of Nigeria isn’t buhari… It is the system we have in this country.
Even if a messiah governs us he will still fail simply because the system we have in Nigeria is not working… #Obasanjo— Oluwabukunmi (@sannibuks) January 24, 2018
OBJ is part of this mess. But then a lot of people are.
Just one consolation: once Obasanjo writes you an open letter, you’re a goner ????
— Hoebi Wan Kenobi (@Crosseyednerd) January 24, 2018
My sources say the President Buhari camp is now officially in disarray. First, Obasanjo’s Letter and then the NASS amended the Electoral Act to favour them on election timetable. The game is ON!
— Nnamdi Anekwe-Chive (@nnamdianekwe) January 24, 2018
Why has Obasanjo remained the most impactful letter writer in Nigeria’s political history? Those addressed are even luck he read theology not politics
— Jibrin Ibrahim (@JibrinIbrahim17) January 24, 2018
Truth is, our REAL task is to ensure that the likes of Obasanjo and other self-styled King makers are not allowed to once again influence our choices in 2019.
All Obasanjo wants with his “Third force” is a 2019 Presidential candidate that will ‘bend-a-knee’ before him.— Mr Stanley Nwabia (@MrStanleyNwabia) January 24, 2018
We need people who have not been corrupted with the present political system. # Obasanjo’s letter
— akinwale adedayo (@lordig) January 24, 2018
Is Obasanjo now a political party. The governors are foolish. So a man is the one to decide what’s good for them? They have eyes but can’t see. We’re here to see how this pans out after the election and an open letter after 3years in 2019 https://t.co/kCpjjHzK4K
— Adenrele Orimidupa (@blastedup) January 24, 2018
this life is do me i do you, after Obasanjo supported Buhari in 2015 he’s now telling Nigerians not to vote for Buhari again. hmmmn ure not d only wicked person am wicked too, thus i’ll vote for Buhari
— Ahmadee (@Ahmadyakasai01) January 24, 2018
I don’t need any Obasanjo to tell me that Buhari is incompetent, a bigot, monumental failure, a calamity and a Semi illiterate, I know all these. Only online herdsmen and those that are not expecting Nigeria to progress are still supporting Buhari.
— Ajala (@UNCLE_AJALA) January 24, 2018
we should be ashamed as a nation as we can’t put anything right for once #Obasanjo #Obasanjoletter
— Legg_intl (@kicks_intl) January 24, 2018
If there was reason I dislike obasanjo style of an elder-statemanship… I canceled it and I respect his truism about Buhari’s second term bid even d dead knw he’s a failure.
— Sir Fm (@oluwafemi778) January 24, 2018
There is wisdom in writing letters, there is greater wisdom in ignoring ‘risible letter’ from erroneous conscience.#Obasanjo
— Wale Alabi (@alabiwale29) January 24, 2018
I will advice president @MBuhari to carry out self appraisal. If your best is not enough to advance the lots of Nigerians, it will be most honourable to quit at the end of your first tenure. It’s Nigeria that matters, not Obasanjo. Obasanjo has one vote just like every Nigerian.
— Chinweuba Ofor (@chinweubaofor) January 24, 2018
Obasanjo failed to at least highlight the good things that have been achieved by President Buhari within just three years and under an extremely difficult circumstances created by many years of previous administration misrule.”
— El-Bashari (@Bashirbello2000) January 24, 2018
Obasanjo is part of the problem too . He needs to rest https://t.co/Tz5GRKxUUk
— Jahmal (@jahmalusen) January 24, 2018
Obasanjo deserves only credit for saying things that we all know is true. Coming from him, they should be taken more seriously.
But no, tell us about his third term bid, like we don’t know.
— Gbolahan Yusuf (@G1gbolahan) January 24, 2018
Why does Obasanjo have to give you an alternative? It’s intellectually lazy & academically unacceptable for a reviewer to postulate a solution/alternative to a subject matter. Obasanjo in that letter, sees PMB & his govt as a peer reviewed research which he reviewed & criticized https://t.co/RZkA6RI0kr
— A b d u l (@Zuby215) January 24, 2018
Obasanjo has a right to express his views, there is nothing wrong with that. Buhari also has the right to decide to contest if he wants, there is nothing wrong that.
— Sadiq Sani Sami (@SadiqSaniSami) January 24, 2018
You can call Olusegun Aremu Obasanjo any name you like. He is a man of his words and he meant every bit of it.@MBuhari shld read the signs on the wall, it’s glaring that everyone is against you, even your own wife @aishambuhari. Just honour yourself and go back home!
— iam_xklusive_atm (@Xklusive_Rhemmy) January 24, 2018
I read the epistle of FMR president obasanjo with keen interest however I’m not disappointed with his assessment of PMB becos democracy enshrine freedom of opinion & thought. There’s are 2 sides to a coin but I’m convinced Buharist has achieved beta than his critics.
— BARR MOHAMMED LUKMAN (@barr_lm) January 24, 2018
This is what I suspect Obasanjo will do in 2019: if PDP picks someone he doesn’t like, he’ll work against APC and PDP. If PDP picks someone he likes, he’ll work against only APC and APC will lose to PDP.
Will we then say Obasanjo produced the winner? I doubt…
