Ogun intensifies work on projects

Even with only six months to the end of the Senator Ibikunle Amosun administration in Ogun State, the government is intensifying efforts on the completion ongoing projects round the state.
The projects, most of which have reached advanced completion stages, include the new Ogere International market, 250-bed modern hospital, digital Ogun State Television studio, ultramodern Judicial complex, Central Business District, also known as City Centre, flyovers and roads.
Speaking to newsmen, while on an inspection tour of projects, with members of the state Executive Council and some Permanent Secretaries, Amosun said the government is creating the enabling environment for investors.
According to him, the Ogere International market will have 24 hours standby electricity, with accompanying infrastructural facilities.
On what becomes of the initial market at Kara, Amosun said a new city to be known as MITROS city will be built at the site, which will rival the likes of Atlantic city.
He added that similar abattoirs to that at the new Ogere market are being built at Ota and Lafenwa, in Abeokuta.
Amosun said by March, 2019, President Muhammadu Buhari would be invited to commission not less than 50 projects.
