Otedola steps in again, provides succour for ailing lecturer

Billionaire businessman Femi Otedola has stepped into the case of Inih Ebong, a lecturer in Uyo (Akwa Ibom State) suffering from cardiac failure.

The 71-year-old associate professor, Department of Theatre Arts, University of Uyo, who has been without a job since 2002, was moved to Prime Clinic last week.

Mrs Uduak Ebong is full of praises for the Femi Otedola Foundation which has paid her husband’s hospital bill.

‘We have been to the hospital, he has started receiving treatment,’ she stated.

The plight of Mr Ebong, catalogued by Premium Times, narrated his struggles after he lost his job and fell on bad times.

Inih Ebong’s physician, Ime Essien, revealed that the lecturer has congestive cardiac failure secondary to rheumatic cardiomyopathy, as well as fluid retention, including scrotal oedema.
