Encomium
Surprises can be very exciting, especially when they are well-thought-out. Anyone that arrived at noon at the Asaba International Airport on Christmas Day last year, must have witnessed the surprise passengers received as they reached the luggage carousel to pick up their belongings.
What was supposed to be a routine or normal affair at the airport, turned out to be one of the most exciting experiences for the arriving passengers as a flurry of brightly-coloured beer packs emerged from the carousel along with their luggage.
Initial reactions to the packs were one of curiosity, but upon close inspection, the packages turned out to be special, holiday-themed packs of Life Lager Beer, and the recipients wasted no time in carting away their share as they returned to their ancestral homes for the Yuletide season.
Nnamdi Arinze, one of the recipients, was full of praise for Life Lager, saying “Life is one of my favourite brands of beer and as I go to visit my family, I will make sure to share with them. Thank you, Life Lager, for making my Christmas a merry one.”
Another recipient, Ibiam Oguejifor commended the gesture, deeming it as a deed that “demonstrates love” and encapsulates what Christmas is all about.
Others hailed the surprise as a “great idea” and commended Life Lager for the out-of-the-box gesture in which they got to take life home for the Christmastime Homecoming.
