Ransome Kuti Memorial Grammar School 1988 set celebrates their 35th anniversary

Five years ago, the 30th anniversary of their leaving school was an internet sensation as the class of 1988 of Ransome Kuti Memorial Grammar School, Lagos celebrated that in their school uniforms and were present at the school’s morning Assembly along with other students. Some were even asked to kneel down for not wearing the appropriate sandals meant for students.

This past week and five years later, they celebrated their 35th anniversary with a reenactment of their assembly line attendance in their school uniform as well as a limited inter House Sports, complete with the traditional march past and House queens.
The 88 set presented a refurbished Healing bay to the school as well as laptop bags to deserving students and teachers in collaboration with Dell Technologies Nigeria.
Such gestures to the school is what the 88 set is known for as they have been sponsoring several indigent students over the last few years.
They also took time out to visit the old people’s home in Sabo where gifts were presented to the home. The week long, four day programme ended with a Thanksgiving programme and Gala Night on the 25th of November 2023.
