It’s a good outing for the Eagles, although we expect more from them. To secure draw against Iran wasn’t a bad attempt, at least we never lost. Spain, defending champion laid 7 ‘eggs’ in just two matches, and guess what, they are out of the tournament.

Aphyz Ahmodu Abubakar

Admitted they played draw in their first match, it’s obvious that the bunch of Eagles representing Nigeria in Brazil are ‘pregnant men’. They played as if they were heavy, but I hope they’ll turn things around in their next match.

Mutiu Adepoju

With determination, we can make it. So, I have no doubt that our boys have found their feet. We have all it takes to beat Argentina or at worst we draw them.

I say congrats to the Super Eagles.

Uche Okechukwu

Winning our last match is commendable. And I congratulate the Super Eagles. I believe we have got all it takes to advance in the mundial. We would sure qualify to the next round.

John Amanze

The boys played impressively I must say. I think I am satisfied with the performance last night.

There were many positives to take away from that game. One of it is that our defense was quite solid and can stand against most teams. Also, Emenike was  really an unselfish player, which I like. Overall, I am satisfied.

Justice Nnarumobi

They played well. It’s just the start of a new era for the team. Their performance was composed. That’s all I know I can say. Thank you.

Abiodun Balogun

Now, we can move further by getting at least a point in our next match. The boys didn’t do badly by salvaging the three points. They just need to improve against Argentina.

Abdul Adeyemi

Nigerians should appreciate these boys, it is not easy to run around for 90 minutes and score goals. I knew the boys have a game plan that was why they slowed down the tempo of the game. Next match we just need to improve just as we did during AFCON. We keep improving by each game.

Akorede Fatunde

I know Super Eagles are always with one surprise or the other, especially when all hope is lost. To me, I have not written them off because of their poor outing with the Iranian team. I still have it in mind that they can still perform better in subsequent matches. Although, they are yet to play as a team, individually they are better. Stephen Keshi still needs to work harder on the mid-field formation so that those in the front will not be over worked again.

Michael Fawehinmi

Super Eagles’ performance in their first match with the Iranian team was far below expectation. But with their win over Bosnia, it really showed the kind of seriousness expected of them. They have shocked their critics. They have proved to Nigerians that they are committed to winning the cup. As for me, my man of the match is Vincent Enyema. But Peter Osaze and Emmanuel Emunike should also be commended for giving a good account of themselves.
