Senator Misau drags Aisha Buhari into IGP’s corruption dram

The controversies between the lawmaker representing the Bauchi central senatorial district, Isa Misau, and the Inspector General of Police, Ibrahim Idris, took a new turn on Wednesday, October 25, when the senator made fresh allegations against the IG before the Senate Ad Hoc committee. In his claim, Misau mentioned Aisha Buhari in the Inspector General of Police mess as part of those who enjoyed in the scandal.
Senator Isa Misau said the IGP, Ibrahim Idris, bought 2 SUVs for Aisha Buhari, amongst others.
According to him, the Inspector- General of Police gave the First Lady, wife of the President, two SUVs and this came through a letter from the aide-de-camp (ADC) to the First Lady who requested on her behalf that she needed a Sienna and Hiace for personal use, but she was given the two SUVs for her private use.
He further alleged that the details of how Idris gave Mrs. Buhari the two sports utility vehicles were contained in the documents the police boss submitted to the court in the suit brought against him by the Minister of Justice and Attorney General of the Federation, Mr. Abubakar Malami, on behalf of the federal government. He, however, boasted that he still has some contract papers with him that the Inspector General himself submitted to the court, where the First Lady through her Aide-De-Camp requested a Toyota Hiace and a Sienna jeep.
Meanwhile, the Director of Information to the wife of the President, Suleiman Haruna, said this is a libellous act and it may also be a speculation and as a matter of fact, nothing would be said about the allegation until it is published.
