Seun Egbeegbe begins 4th month in prison, abandoned by colleagues and staffers

Serial suspect, Kazeem Olanrewaju Olasunkanmi Oluwaseun Olajide, better addressed as Seun Egbeegbe, has completed three solid months in Ikoyi prisons.
He’s yet to perfect the bail granted him by Justice  Oluremi Oguntoyinbo of Federal High Court, Ikoyi, Lagos on Friday, February 24, 2017, on allegations of fraud levelled against him and his accomplice, Ayo Oyekan.

An impeccable source told encomium.ng that the popular music and movie promoter is still cooling his cooling off  in Ikoyi prisons, and he is very much likely to remain there until Monday, June 12, 2017, when he will be appearing before Magistrate  O Y Aje Afunwa (Mrs.) of Rosaline Omotoso Court in Ikeja for the iPhone handsets theft case dangling on his head since November 2016. And the reason is not unconnected with the fact that nobody is ready to stand for the Ogun-born entertainment promoter because of the stringent conditions involved.
“Seun Egbeegbe is still being remanded in Ikoyi prisons, and there is no assurance that he will be out of the place before June 12, when he is likely to be brought to Ikeja Magistrate Court for the phone theft case. He is yet to get any surety for the offence. And I am not sure he will get because the conditions are too difficult to meet.
“Even, at the moment, all his boys, including his publicist, have deserted him because they are all afraid of being linked to the crimes. He is on his own now.”
On Thursday, February 2, 2017, Seun Egbeegbe was arrested for attempting to swindle two Bureau de change operators of foreign currencies valued at N6.3 m. He was said to have pretended as a doctor at Gbagada General Hospital, Lagos while his accomplice, Ayo Oyekan also pretended to be his patient. They were both whisked to Ogudu Area Command, and later Police Command, Ikeja where they were detained for days before they were charged to court for Advance Fee Fraud{419).
