Popular comedian, Seyi Law has joined the celebrity football club at the Fun Turf ground, LekkI, Lagos. Spotted the entertainer on Sunday, August 3, 2014, as he manned the goal post for his team.
ASHLEY STEPHANIE RETURNS WITH MGBEKE – Sexy stage goddess, MoloMolo crooner and ex lead singer of the famous Latin America pop group, the Spanish Girls, Ashley Stephanie is back again with a spanking new groovy single entitled, Mgbeke.
The talented singer and energetic stage performer who also fluently speaks five major languages (Spanish, French, Italian, Portuguese and English) said, she got the inspiration of Mgbeke from the street and also the Igbo translation of the word, village girl or boy.
Mgbeke, which is set to be released on Sunday, August 3, 2014, is her first official come -back single after being off the scene for a long while due to the loss of her beloved father and hero.
The listening party for the single was held on July 25, at a luxury location in Lekki, Phase I, Lagos, where her fans, colleagues, media representatives and supporters of her music, were left dancing to her awesome voice and the great rhythm of her unique music genre, Coupe Decale Masquirade. “And now I’m back for good, my fans should expect the best of good music from me at all times,” she said in a phone chat with ENCOMIUM Weekly. Mgbeke will be released under her own record label, Ashley Stephanie Music.
ID OGUNGBE MEETS MTN CREW – On Tuesday evening, August 5, 2014 Primetime Africa’s ID Ogungbe met MTN crew at Shoprite, Lekki, Lagos. After his informal discussion with them, he walked into Newscafe to buy some food. He later left the eatery in a white Range Rover jeep.
SHEDI BABA RESURFACES – Distressed comedian, Shedi Baba was sighted in Lekki, Lagos, on Wednesday, August 6, 2014, at about 8pm. Spotting a bowler hat and walking stick, the once popular comedian was actually buying some apples on the road side. He left the apple seller after making his purchase to heaven knows where.
Shedi Baba has been a shadow of his old self in the last five years. Believed to be a psychiatric issue, the talented comedian is yet to recover from the ailment.
YINKA JOHNSON CELEBRATES KIDS’ BIRTHDAY – Lagos businessman and telecoms expert, Yinka Johnson celebrated the birthday of his two kids on August 3, 2014.
Held at his residence at Araromi Street, Lagos, the birthday was for Adetutu and Adekunle Johnson. Relatedly, Adeyinka Johnson has rented a big shop on Ajeniya Street, Obalende, Lagos. It’s currently under renovation.
HOW JIMMY LAI MUHAMMED CELEBRATED BIRTHDAY – Jimmy, son of APC national publicity secretary added a year on Friday, August 1, 2014. And he partied at D’Place by Papas Entertainment, Lekki, Lagos, on Thursday, August 7. He cruised into the fun spot in a red Envogue Rover in company of friends.
Jimmy Muhammed left D’Place around 4.15am.
AURA NITE CLUB SHUT – Aura Niteclub managed by Dapo Denrele has finally closed down after operating for four years. It was shut by its management on Sunday, August 3, 2014.
We weren’t sure as at press time, if the club would remain shut permanently.
OBA ONIRU’S SON, TIJANI WEDS – Prince Tijani Oniru, Oba Idowu Oniru’s son got married on Saturday, August 2, 2014. The wedding reception was at Eko Hotel & Suites, Victoria Island, Lagos.
BOLAJI FOLAWIYO BACK FROM LESSER HAJJ – Son of late Baba Adinni of Lagos, Bolaji Folawiyo is back from Mecca. Yet, he refused to be addressed as Alhaji. Bolaji returned on Tuesday, August 5.

Madam Adejumo is the mother of Prince Dayo Adejumo, the man who installs and maintains solar security light on BRT lanes and other areas of Lagos.
MEGAWASH BOSS, JUDE ODITAH SPOTTED – On Tuesday evening (August 5), at about 8pm, we spotted the owner of Megawash, Jude Oditah at D’Place by Papas Entertainment. He came in a white Benz S500.
Oditah, however, didn’t spend up to an hour there.
BIOYE AYOKU BURIES MOTHER-IN-LAW – Bioye Ayoku, over the weekend, travelled for his mother-in-law’s burial in Benin, Edo State. We would furnish you with the details of the burial.
MUKA AMUSAN JETS OUT – Bayo Amusan’s younger brother, Muka Amusan has jetted out to the US. He left our shores on Sunday, August, 3, 2014. And is expected back in two weeks.
PAT DIVINE STITCHES GETS OJUELEGA BRANCH – Satellite Town, Lagos based Pot Divine Stitches has extended its tentacles to Ojuelegba, Surulere, Lagos. Proprietor of top fashion outfit, Pat Odeyemi, said over the weekend that the branch is undergoing renovation to taste to tally with the image of the brand. Odeyemi said the Satellite outfit remains the headquarters.
Pat Divine Stitches specialized in making unisex dresses for upwardly mobile people. They also deal in fashion accessories, bridals, etc.
