Stars blessed with babies in 2016

The entertainment industry witnessed a baby boom in 2016. Many industry stakeholders were blessed with the fruit of the womb, including those who had been waiting on the Lord for a couple of years. ENCOMIUM Weekly presents a compilation of those who became mothers in 2016.

 

TONTO DIKEH (February 17)

Fair skinned controversial actress cum singer, Tonto Dikeh welcomed the tiny patter of baby’s feet on Wednesday, February 17, 2016, in Houston, Texas, USA. Tonto and her husband flew to Texas a couple of days before their baby boy arrived. Prior to being a mother, the talented actress denied getting pregnant and claimed the picture of a pregnant woman circulating in the social media was not hers. She also admitted her social media page was hacked. Even her wedding to Churchill was a hush hush affair until she birthed her son and posted news on her instagram page.

 

AKPORORO (August 30)

Laughter merchant Bowoto Jephthah Oluwaseyifunmi, popularly known as Akpororo became a father on Tuesday, August 30, 2016. The excited father described his baby girl as the Princess of Roro’s kingdom. Akpororo and Josephine got married on Saturday, November 14, 2015, at Eagles Club in Surulere, Lagos.

 

SEYI LAW (September 30)

Comedian Seyi Law’s joy knew no bounds when his wife of five years, Stacy Ebere gave birth to a baby girl one year after losing their first child. The fair skinned wife of the comedian had her baby girl on Friday, September 30, 2016, in an American hospital. Seyi Law and Stacy got married on March 27, 2011, at Banilux Event Centre, Sabo, Yaba, Lagos.

 

BIMBO THOMAS (July 16)

Nollywood actress, Bimbo Thomas gave birth to a baby boy in the U.S on Saturday, July 16, 2016. Miss Thomas left the shores of Nigeria for Texas, USA few months to her delivery day. The identity of the father of her baby is still unknown but sources whispered that her U.S based lover fathered the child.

 

KENNELTH OKONKWO (May 6)

Popular Nollywood actor, Kenneth Okonkwo and his wife, Ifeoma welcomed their first child, a baby boy in the U.S on Friday, May 6, 2016, after nine years of marriage. The baby was delivered at the University of Maryland, St. Joseph Medical Centre. The over joyous father shared the testimony of the miraculous birth of their baby during Winner’s Chapel yearly convention, ‘Shiloh’

 

D DON (April 12)

Iruvwe Okeremute, aka De Don fathered a child the second time on April 12, 2016. The baby girl was born at Prince George Country Maryland, USA.

 

YOMI GOLD (February 14)

Talented Yoruba actor, Yomi Gold and Victoria welcomed their baby on February 14, 2016, at Brookdale University Hospital and Medical Centre, Brooklyn, New York.

 

IBU

Comic actor, John Okafor, also known as Mr. Ibu welcomed a bouncing baby boy in 2016. John and Stella Maris who tied the nuptial knot in 2015 years after their traditional wedding were excited to have another baby boy. The excited father took to the social media to make the arrival of their baby boy known.

 

OSAS AND GBENRO AJIBADE

Delectable couple, Osas and Gbenro Ajibade became parents in 2016. The couple, who met on the set of ‘Tinsel’ had a baby girl months after announcing she was pregnant. According to her, the pregnancy was not planned. As newly married couple, they wanted to enjoy themselves first before setting a family.

 

IVIE OKUJAIYE (July 1)

Ebony skinned beauty, Ivie Okujaiye became mother for the first time on July 1, 2016, a day to her husband’s birthday. She proudly announced the arrival of their baby on her social media page.

Ivie, the Benin born actress, walked down the aisle with her handsome hubby in 2015.

 

BABA TEE

Yoruba comic actor, Babatunde Bernard, aka Baba Tee and wife to be, Dupe Odulate had a baby boy in 2016. The duo who was engaged to be married had a baby boy ad named him Ademide Adeyemi Tayo. Baba Tee and Dupe will likely walk down the aisle this year.

 

EMEM ISONG (May 27)

Renowned Nigerian filmmaker, Emem Isong became a mother for the second time on Friday, May 27, 2016, in Houston, Texas. Emem gave birth to a set of twins, a boy and a girl and named them Jewel and Divina. Emem was treated to a surprise baby shower party by her colleagues in Texas on Friday, May 27, 2016. To the shock of everyone, her water broke shortly after the party. Few hours later, her twins arrived.

Emem tied the knot in 2014 to her Cameroonian husband, Nkama Misodiare.

 

ADAORA UKOH (March 18)

Plus sized actress, Adaorah Ukoh who was popular for her role in the TV series, Lekki Wives became a mother on Friday, March 18, 2016. Adaora welcomed a baby boy in the United States of America. She had a baby shower shortly before the baby popped out.

Adaora had a secret wedding to her long time friend, Mavin on Sunday, September 30, 2015. It was a small traditional ceremony that had in attendance, close friends and family members.

 

BOVI

‘It’s Her Day’ actor, Bovi Ugboma and his pretty wife, Kris became parents for the third time last year. Kris birth a boy in the U.S. The couple already had a boy and girl before the last tot came in 2016, the baby came seven years after the couple exchanged marital vows.

 

USHEBEBE

Comedian and OAP, Justice Nuagbe, popularly known as Ushebebe fathered his first child, a boy last year.

Annettee Osa Agbontaen and Justice named their son Nolan.

The duo got married in Benin City amid pomp and ceremony on Saturday, November 23, 2013. They had their traditional wedding in Benin City on October 18, 2013.

 

JODIE (April 11)

Kuchi Kuchi crooner, Jodie had her first baby on Monday, April 11, 2016. The elated husband, (David Nnaji) took to his twitter and made the announcement when the baby popped out.

Actor David and Jodie had their traditional wedding in Warri on October 31, 2015.

 

UCHE KALU

Skilled footballer and former Enyimba F.C player and wife, Ada had a baby boy in March, 2016. The happy couple shared the joy of parenthood with family and friends.

 

K SOLO (April 2)

Popular music producer, Solomon Oyeniyi, aka K Solo welcomed his first child on April 2, 2016. K Solo is married to Matope, a Cameroonian and graduate of University of Lagos.
