THE GUESTS
The wedding was graced by Bashorun Dele Momodu of Ovation magazine, brother of the bride, who was Nigeria’s Super Eagles captain, Sunday Oliseh and music star, Ice Prince and other celebrities.
CHAIRMAN OF THE OCCASION
Bashorun Dele Momodu, as the chairman of the occasion, adviced the couple to tolerate each other, keep matters of the home within the home without the interference of a third party. He, however, shared his own marital experience.
ASO EBI
The bride’s family dazzled in purple and tangerine colour attires. The ladies looked gorgeous in their lace blouse and violet purple wrapper either in George, sequin or velvet material.
The men were all dressed in a grey South South traditional sokoto and buba with a green cap to blend with the colour of the day.
The beautiful and lovely bride’s maids were all dressed in a fuchsia pink flowing gowns and matching silver shoes. While the groom’s men were styled in Teslo’s black blazers, white shirts and blue bow ties alongside cream pants. It was indeed a colourful bridal train.
MUSICAL PERFORMANCE
A friend of the couple, Dare dedicated two songs to them. Music artiste, Sheyman gave a lovely performance. Also, popular music star, Ice Prince thrilled.
LOADS OF ADVICE
The couple, Godwin and Tessy Amaize, got uncountable pieces of advice from family members, friends, well-wishers and clergy.
CRAFTED CAKE
The cake was as unique as it could be. Never seen anything like it. It had an image of a tree with so many branches. The silver coloured cake with a touch of purple had a mixture of vanilla, red velvet and chocolate flavour.
FOOD AN DRINKS
The reception kicked off at about 2pm at The Balmoral Hall, Kudirat Abiola Way, Ikeja, Lagos. The decoration was done by the event place.
The delicious meals were packaged by Lanre Ajayi, CEO, of Lanre Butter Cream and U&J Catering Services. Lanre Butter Cream was the brain behind the unusual cake served at the wedding.
The drinks ranging from juice, alcoholic and non-alcoholic wines and beers were taken care of by P&P Catering Services. The ushers were in a short black dress, black heels adorned with an orange scarf that flowed from their shoulders down to the waist.
THE COUPLE
The couple danced with the bridal train, friends and well wishers. The bride adorned a cream tube sparkling gown, embellished with dazzling gold stones, giving her a stunning and gorgeous look, while the groom was dressed in a white and olive green side stripes pants, white shirt and an olive green floral jacket with a white and black polka dot bow tie.
They had their first dance to the slow and romantic music of Celine Dion’s A New Day. It was not just a dance. The couple took their time to choreograph the song to their taste. It was indeed a lovely performance.
