The governor we want (2)

As the April 11, 2015 governorship elections gets closer, ENCOMIUM Weekly asked Nigerians what would determine whom they would vote at the polls. We compiled their verdict in this series…

‘DR OKEZIE IKPEAZU IS MY CHOICE’ – Emeka Rowlands (Abia)

I would want Abians to vote for the PDP candidate, Dr Okezie Ikpeazu. He’s the right man for the job based on his academic qualification and experience in politics.

‘I WILL VOTE FOR PDP IN ABIA’ – Ugochukwu Moses Amakor (Abia)

Ndi Abia will vote for the ruling party, PDP in the April 11 governorship election. So, our candidate’s Dr Ikpeazu.

‘ALEX OTTI’S MY MAN’ – Okezie Anyanwu

Alex Otti will transform Abia if elected governor because he is not a puppet like the PDP candidate. The former Diamond Bank boss is my man.

‘HE MUST MAKE LIFE SIMPLE FOR THE PEOPLE’ – Mary Olaore

The kind of governor we want in Lagos state should be the one that will put the interest of the poor on top of his agenda. He must make life simple for the people at the bottom of the ladder. His hands must spread across the state, not limited to certain area.

He should also be ready to work more on traffic problem in the state and ensure more law enforcement agents are deployed to every area to curb traffic offences. He should also be ready to work on all the public schools in the remote areas of the state, not only those at the centre.

‘I BELIEVE IN CONTINUITY’ – Mukaila Abdulganiy

I am from Oyo State, I believe in continuity so that’s why I want Ajimobi to come back come May 29, 2015. But he should not relent in his efforts. I want him to be the first to break the jinx of no second term which has been the tradition in the state for a very long time.

Handing the state over to another person now won’t pay us as All Progressives Congress is now the party at the centre. He should bear in mind all the people of the state should be carried along in order for his administration to record more success.
