Fashion week is about more than what happens on the runway. Beyond the collections and carefully considered looks, it creates a meeting point for designers, creatives, stylists, media personalities and tastemakers whose influence extends across fashion, culture and lifestyle.
At Lagos Fashion Week 2026, this wider expression of fashion was reflected in The Macallan’s presence across two key events hosted by The House Lagos and Pulse Nigeria: The Insider Dinner on October 27 and the Closing Party on November 1.
Rather than limiting its presence to the runway, The Macallan became part of the social experiences surrounding the fashion season, engaging with a community whose interests extend beyond clothing to art, design, craftsmanship and contemporary luxury.
The first engagement, The Fashion Insider Dinner, brought together an intimate gathering of fashion, media and cultural personalities. Among the guests were Michelle Saahene, Kamille Gordy, Nicole Chikwe, Seyitan Atigarin, Dodos, Daniel Obasi, Eki Ogunbor, Gani, Ibidunni, Wumi Tuase-Fosudo and Cynthia Nwaru. Hosted at The House, the evening created room for conversations and connections among guests from different parts of the creative industry. As the drinks partner, The Macallan was thoughtfully integrated into the evening, complementing the dining experience and the social exchanges that shaped the gathering.
The evening offered a considered setting for guests to connect and enjoy the experience, with The Macallan forming part of the details that shaped the occasion.
On November 1, the engagement continued at The Closing Party, which brought the Lagos Fashion Week season to a close. With designers, models, editors, creatives and personalities in attendance, the evening shifted into a more energetic setting. The Macallan maintained its presence through a dedicated bar experience, signature serves and a reserved pour area for guests.
The two occasions offered different expressions of the same relationship between fashion and luxury: one intimate and centred on conversation, the other shaped by the energy and social culture of fashion week.
For The Macallan, these engagements reflect an understanding of luxury that goes beyond the product itself. It is also found in the experiences people value, the spaces they occupy and the communities they form connections with.
As Lagos continues to strengthen its position as a centre for fashion and creative expression, moments such as these highlight the growing intersection between the city’s fashion, lifestyle and luxury communities. See link to pictures
