jaywon noniHow has your career been?

It has been great.  Things are getting better by the day.

How did your journey into the music industry start?

It started from singing other people’s songs like King Sunny Ade and Ebenezer Obey.  These two musicians really motivated me to go into music fully.

When you decided you were going into music, what was your parents’ reaction?

Mom never supported.  She wanted me to be an accountant. I tried to be but after my ND in Bida Polytechnic, Niger State, I couldn’t continue because I was already in love with music.  She is supportive now because of the song, This Tear.  She loves it and encouraged me to do more of that kind of music.

Are you working on any album or singles presently?

Yes, I am working on my album.  Four singles are out already which are Catch me if you can ft. Ice Prince and Phenom; This Year, God sent ft. Tiwa Savage and Madantin.

On and off stage, who is Jaywon?

Just like every other young man on the street working to save his future and easy going.

Your fans nicknamed you Oba Onitinko, how do you think they came about this nickname?

My fans gave me the name after I released the song, Tinko Angel.
