Thousands of households benefit from Oshodi-Isolo LG palliative distribution

The open field of Oshodi-Isolo local government secretariat yesterday 23rd March, 2024 was full to the brim as people from far and near trooped to the local government to partake in the palliative largesse being organized by the council chairman.
The executive chairman of the local government, Otunba Kehinde Almaroof Oloyede, said he was propelled to embark on the second phase of the free food palliative program out of the need to support people and the need to cushion the current economic hardship occasioned by the subsidy removal.
The palliative 2.0 is a great improvement on the first palliative program that was organized in August last year. The food pack given to each beneficiary contained Rice, Beans, Garri, Yam, spaghetti, noddles, Power oil, and plantains among others.
The council chairman equally went a step forward by also make available fresh raw meat, peppers, tomatoes, onions and bread for the delight of the residents. He said the palliative is in line with the welfarist plan of his administration and the aim is to reach thousands of households.
He implored Nigerians to keep faith with the Tinubu’s government, noting that Nigeria will be better for it.
A beneficiary, Mrs Aishat Ogunmoye could not hide her happiness and gratitude to the council chairman after receiving her package.
She said; “I am very happy for the kind gesture of the chairman with this food packs. In my pack, there is rice, beans, Garri, Yam, spaghetti, noddles and power oil. This is a huge food package from the chairman. May God bless him.”
Also contributing is physically challenged man, Alfa Yisau, who expressed joy at the orderliness and how people living with disabilities were given top consideration. He also thanked the council chairman for his thoughtfulness particularly at a time like this.
The philanthropic chairman promised to continue programs that would benefit his constituents.
