Fresh from their solemnization of holy matrimony, the joyous bride, Chigozie Nwenyi, garbed in a lovely Mai Atafo wedding gown chatted with us about their future.
How did the love story begin?
Like he said, it started in the House of God church.
What was the attraction?
He is very kind-hearted and God fearing.
When you met him what was the kind of personality he exhibited?
Very humble and down to earth. Maybe that was what actually made me love him.
How long did it take before he proposed to you?
We have been friends for 10 years. We met in Abuja and since then we have been inseparable.
What were you doing in Abuja when you met?
I was in school.
What do you do now?
I am a business woman now.
It is rare to see a lady from your state marrying a Yoruba?
That is not a factor when it comes to love. He is very nice, very funny like his dad, kind-hearted and those are the attributes I want in a man.
Have you decided on the honeymoon destination?
Yes, we have a lot of places to visit for our honeymoon but I won’t tell you.
What are your expectations in this union?
God’s blessings, many children and many years together.

‘Chigozie is a special woman’- BISOYE OBASANJO
Bisoye has a resemblance of his father, Chief Olusegun Obasanjo. He is in charge of Obasanjo Farms, Ota, Ogun State, the more reason the former president doesn’t joke with him.
He spoke about the woman who means the world to him.
How did the journey actually start?
It all started from church, House of God and from there we hit it off. And we thank God we are here today as a married couple.
What was your first impression about her?
I saw something special about her. We have been friends for 10 years and you know what I mean. She is a special lady regardless of her origin.
When did it dawn on you she will be your wife?
I have always known from the start that our relationship will end here and she has never disappointed me in that regard.
