A British aid worker and sanitation expert has revealed the horror she has seen battling to curtail the Ebola outbreak in West Africa in her diary.
Cokie van der Velde (54) spent last week helping with charity Medecins Sans Frontieres at a treatment centre in Liberian capital Monrovia, as well as a hospital isolation ward three hours away.
She wrote of overflowing morgues, corpses being pushed around in wheelbarrows and other harrowing experiences in her diary.
