Grandma shoots 7-year-old boy, mistakes him for burglar

A 7-year-old boy’s life is hanging by a thread after he was shot his grandmother, who mistook him for a burglar.

63-year-old Linda Maddox shot her grandson, Tyler Maddox, once in the upper body with a .22-calibre pistol, which she keeps by her bed at her home in Tampa, Florida around 1am on Tuesday(August 19).

Young Tyler was rushed to St Joseph’s Hospital, but remains in a critical condition after four hours of surgery following the shooting.
