THE joy of Kingsley Okonkwo of KCPresh fame was multiplied on Sunday, October 24, 2010, with the safe delivery of his better-half, Ijeoma, of a bouncing baby girl.
Somayina Honeybell, as KC and IJ want their baby to be called and addressed was delivered in a London hospital.
Kingsley and his partner, Precious John had to suspend their on-going European tour that has taken them to Germany, Italy, France, Holland…to make sure that all is well with mother and child. And from what we heard, both are in a stable health.
“KC Presh actually flew in from Italy on Saturday (October 23) to stand by Ijeoma, who had her first baby,” a family source said.
They had since returned to Italy to complete their tour which they might likely cut short to give the new mother all the support she needs.
Obviously elated by the arrival of his first child, KC told ENCOMIUM Weekly he was the happiest man on earth. “God has blessed the Sengemenge family. And we are so, so happy for His special gift,” he said in a Blackberry chat with ENCOMIUM Weekly on Thursday, October 28. And calling from the UK earlier on Monday, October 25, KC joyfully said: “Somayina Honeybell Okonkwo has arrived from heaven as a blessing to the Sengemenge family. It is the best thing to happen to the world. So, join us as we celebrate the heavenly gift from God to us. Hip, hip, hip, hurrayyy,” KC’s text read.
When we called at their Omole Phase 2 home on Thursday (October 28) the atmosphere was simply gay and joyous as his family members were popping champagne to welcome the baby. In fact, Emeka Okonkwo, the boss of Emy Cargoes, an indigenous shipping services company, who just flew into the country to host guests on behalf of his brother, was so excited that he was sharing drinks by himself. All the members of the Sengemenge family were indeed celebrating without restraint, despite the fact that KC was still out of the country.
Asked how Somayina was doing, Emeka Okonkwo confirmed she was doing good in a London hospital. He also told ENCOMIUM Weekly that his wife, Juliet, who lives there was in charge, making sure that Ijeoma and her baby lack nothing and enjoy only the best.
Kingsley Okonkwo started his marital journey with an introduction early this year. He later took his then fiancé, Ijeoma Odua, to Dubai where they were formally engaged. Their marriage was later consummated in a two-legged ceremony on Friday, April 23 and Saturday, April 24, 2010. First was the Bachelor’s eve and a traditional wedding in Anambra State. And now God has perfected their marriage with the gift of a bouncing baby girl. Making the couple to sing joyful songs and lavish Him with praises.
