How do you feel being here today?
I feel honoured. I feel proud. I have always dreamed about attending a fashion show. This is the first fashion show I am attending and showcasing my designs. It’s a big step for me.
When did you start doing your own designs?
I have been into fashion for a long time, but my company was registered two years ago that’s 2013. So, officially, it’s two years now.
How has the journey been?
The journey has been fun and also rough. Initially, I had difficult times, but my vision for the job has kept me going.
Being on NTFS for the first time, do you think this platform is going to take you to the next level?
I believe this is just the beginning of many shows for me. From this year, I will attend more shows.
Tell us about your designs.
My designs are fresh. They are different and also creative. They are bold and made for stylish men.
The market is very competitive, what do you think stands you out?
My creativity and individuality stand me out because my designs are not the regular ones you find everywhere. So, I think that is an edge for me.
Tell us about yourself.
My name is Oreofe Adebowale. I was born in the early 80s. I am an Accounting graduate. I have always had love for fashion. I was not really happy with my first degree because I wanted to do fashion as a child and also contribute to the development and beauty of fashion. I am the CEO of Oronzo Couture.
How did you come about the name Oronzo?
Kudos to my elder sister for that. She gave me that name about 16 years ago. She coined it from my name, Oreofe and it just stuck. I adopted the name ever since.
Where do you see yourself in five years?
I see my designs on runways in London, Italy, New York and all other big fashion shows.
