“It belongs to my wife’, he says
One of the happiest entertainers at the moment is fuji star, Alhaji Abass Akande, popularly referred to as Obesere. And the reason is obvious.
An industry source informed ENCOMIUM Weekly that the successful fuji singer has just completed a multimillion naira mansion in his home town, Ibadan, Oyo State. And it’s really a site to behold.
According to the source, the edifice, located at Akobo, area of the ancient city is going to be the country home of the famous Asakasa crooner.
The source further revealed to us that most of the materials used for the structure were imported and it took a while before it was completed.
“Obesere has just completed a befitting house in his home town, Ibadan, Oyo State. I learnt that’s going to be his country home. The edifice is in Akobo and it’s more than four flats with some chalets. It looks like the one he built in Okota, Lagos where he resides presently.
“The new structure, I learnt is worth millions of naira and it’s the finest in that vicinity. I also learnt it will be opened very soon. Although, some are saying he built the house for his wife, Alhaja Tolanikawo Akande (Nee Adelakun), it’s still a country home for Obesere going by its architectural design. It’s a master piece”.
However, when contacted on Friday, April 21, 2017, the new Alhaji Agba of Fuji, as Obesere is fondly addressed, confirmed completing an edifice in his home town, Ibadan, Oyo State. He added that the house doesn’t belong to him but his lovely wife.
“It’s true but the house doesn’t belong to me, that’s for my wife. I am not the type that should be making noise about such things. But I thank God for everything.
“I told God since more than 10 years I had built a house for my mother that I will do something similar for my wife as well because she really deserves it. Now, God has answered my prayer. She’s a wife that stands by me at all time. So, if I have done more than that, she deserves it. And in few months, it will be opened officially.”
