Seven people were arrested on Sunday, August 17, 2014 as police fired tear gas at a protesting crowd in Missouri, United States in a bid to disperse them.

A man was reportedly shot and critically wounded in the confrontation which occurred one hour after the midnight curfew.

The crowd was protesting the death of a black teenager who was shot by police in Ferguson, St. Louis, leading to officers firing smoke bombs as they refused to leave the streets.
