Clashes erupt in Ferguson after police chief’s apology

Tempers flared up again yesterday (September 25) night in Ferguson, Missouri, as the much-hated police chief marched alongside demonstrators in a goodwill gesture that flopped.

Tom Jackson appeared outside the St Louis suburb’s police department in civilian clothes late yesterday to pledge reforms in the wake of Michael Brown’s death.

But according to the St Louis Post-Dispatch., tensions rose again and scuffles broke out, leading to the officers dubbing the gathering an ‘unlawful assembly’, several people were arrested.
