The paparazzi are setting up their cameras, the guests are getting their togs readied and the rumour mill is in overdrive as anticipation heightens just 24 hours to the big day – George Clooney will, at last, be off the market, relinquishing his ‘most eligible bachelor in the world’ title.
The 53-year-old actor and his British human rights lawyer soon-to-be-wife, Amal Alamuddin, 36,will tie the knot tomorrow (September 27) in Venice, Italy, in one of the biggest and most anticipated Hollywood unions in recent history.
Clooney is already in Venice, and if reports are to be believed, so is the beautiful Alamuddin, who was spotted visiting the London office of Alexander McQueen for her wedding dress earlier this month. Sarah Burton – who designed the Duchess of Cambridge, Kate’s wedding dress – is to design hers.
George will be wearing a Giorgio Armani suit as confirmed by Armani himself during the Milan Fashion Week last week, saying: “George has chosen and been fitted for an Armani suit for his wedding”.
With all the attention paid to even the minutest of details and all the party trains planned, the wedding of George and Amal will be talked about long after the dust has settled.
