The complete story of ‘Alakada Reloaded’ +Highest grossing nigerian movies ever

Alakada Reloaded, one of the highest grossing Nigerian movies in recent times has been titillating viewers.
The movie is an adventure of a beautiful lady, Yetunde Animashaun played by Toyin Abraham. Yetunde, who is from a poor family background, makes up stories and lies about her financial and social status in order to fit in with the crowd. Yetunde never admits to be suffering from inferiority complex. Rather, she prefers to pretend and deceive people about her background. However, her lies always come back to haunt her and come to a head when she is invited on a reality TV show along with other housemates.
The movie boasts of rich, talented and fabulous cast such as Toyin Abraham, Odunlade Adekola, Ali Baba, Kehinde Bankole, Helen Paul, Lilain Esoro, Annie Idibia, Bidemi Kosoko, Liz da Silva, Lala Akindoju, Mr. Latin, Iyabo Ojo, Gabriel Afolayan, Woli Arole, OAP Nedu and a host of others.
The movie is set in a high brow area of Lekki, Lagos, Nigeria. ENCOMIUM Weekly gathered that it took a couple of months to produce this brilliant movie.

The Nigeria movie industry grew in leaps and bound in 2016, recording blockbuster films that saw producers, cast and crew smiling to the bank. The yield was a soothing balm of days of hard work as most of the movies broke box office records in Nigeria to the tune of millions.

No film has broken its record since 2016. Raking in all of N500 million, however, fans are optimistic that the sequel which would hit the cinema in a couple of months would surpass that record. The appeal of the film was due to a heartwarming storyline, beautiful set and gorgeous costumes.

A TRIP TO JAMAICA
Comedian AY’s movie, A Trip to Jamaica was a huge success in 2016, topping the chart as the second highest grossing movie. It raked in N168 million at the box office. Reputed to be the first film to hit N35 million in its first weekend and also the first film to hit N62 million in its first week. It generated N100 million in 17 days and the fastest to generate N150 million in six weeks. It was indeed a huge success by all standard.

C.E.O
The C.E.O by award winning producer, Kunle Afolayan did not fall below standard at the cinema. The movie grossed all of N60 million at the box office. Viewers stated the appeal of the movie was the impeccable storyline and expertise in the choice of character.

ALAKADA RELOADED
Actress Toyin Aimakhu’s Alakada Reloaded joined the league of high grossing movies in May 2016, after a couple of weeks it was released in the cinema.
Alakada Reloaded grossed N25 million in the first three days of its release on Friday, May 26, 2017. In one week, the movie made N50 million. Fans are cock sure it would rake in more millions before it stops showing at the cinema.
