USP to host Brand2Wealth seminar for SMEs

Plans have been concluded to stage the 10th Anniversary Edition of the USP Brand2Wealth Seminar for SMEs.

Established in 2007, Brand2Wealth is an empowerment scheme which aims to equip SMEs with the branding knowledge they need to build globally competitive products and services. Since then, the annual program has been held in conjunction with several sponsors and partners including Fate Foundation, Bank of Industry and Emzor Pharmaceuticals.

In addition, the past editions have seen a significant rise in the number of participants and attendees, with the 2016 edition of the seminar recording over 300 participants. Other Corporate partners and organizations with interest in the development of SMEs also played various roles in the seminar.

According to the CEO of USP Brand Management, MuyiwaKayode, the objectives of Brand2Wealth include “empowering SMEs with the branding knowledge they need to build competitive businesses and develop strong product and service brands, as well as contributing significantly to the wealth creation capabilities of SMEs with the attendant transformational impact this can have on the economy”.

The event will feature a Seminar, with the theme: BRAND YOUR BUSINESS; Brand Fair- An Exhibition of Products and Services for SMEs; Brand Clinic- where branding experts provide solutions for SMEs; Raffle Draw.

The Keynote Speaker is Mr IdorenyenEnang, a brand marketing and management consultancy guru.

Mr IdorenyenEnang is the CEO at Corporate Shepherds Limited, a Business Strategy, Organisational Development and Executive Coaching consultancy. Prior to assuming this role, Idorenyen was Brand Manager with Guinness Nigeria Plc, after which he served as Brand Manager at Coca Cola Nigeria. He later became Country Marketing Manager, responsible for Southern and Eastern Africa Region where he developed brand strategies and managed the company’s portfolio of brands to meet volume and profit objectives for the East Africa Region.

He later moved to Cadbury Nigeria as Commercial Director. In this role, he led the intiatives that mobilized the sales and marketing functions to achieve a quick turnaround for the Cadbury brand, thereby recording one of the great success stories of share owner recovery in volume, value and profitability.

He left Cadbury to take up appointment as Country Managing Director of Samsung West Africa, where he was responsible for the growth, development and profitability of the Samsung brand across all the core Divisions.

The 10th Anniversary Edition of Brand2Wealth comes up as follows:
