A persistent lack of sleep (that’s insomnia) will land you in an early grave, scientists at the University of Arizona (USA) have warned.
The scientists found that persistent insomnia – for six years or more – was linked to a 58 percent increased risk of death.
It was also linked to higher levels of inflammation in the blood, which is linked to heart disease, diabetes, obesity, cancer, dementia and depression – which all eventually lead to the grave.
