Adenuga cruises to $11 billion (N2.2 trillion) net-worth

Today (Monday, April 18, 2016) Dr. Michael Adenuga, Jnr., landed on $11 billion net-worth on Forbes rich list, re-writing history with his astronomical rise as a man of means to acknowledge.

The chairman of Conoil and Globacom, reported to own thousands of properties across the world, settled on number 105 on the list which has four other Nigerians – Alhaji Aliko Dangote, Mrs. Folorunsho Alakija, Mr. Femi Otedola and Alhaji Abdulsamad Rabiu.

Once rated as having $4.7 billion, the fortunes of the gentleman fondly addressed as the guru scampered to $2.8 billion.

The rise began a few weeks back…and nestled at $10.8 billion, until today.

The 62 year-old billionaire mogul is Africa’s second richest person, after Alhaji Aliko Dangote.

On his part, 59 year-old President of Dangote Group, whose hands wraps around cement, flour, salt and oil and more, recorded $16.5 billion fortunes today (a drop from $17 billion). He rested on number 52.

FAMFA Oil’s Mrs. Folorunsho Alakija, 65, sits on number 1,266 with $1.6 billion net-worth. At her peak, she had $2.5 billion fortunes.

Forte Oil’s Mr. Femi Otedola, 52, lost $100 million. With $1.5 billion net-worth today, he perches on number 1,342 on the Forbes list.

Alhaji Abdulsamad Rabiu, 55, retains his $1.2 billion net-worth, and relaxed at number 1,664.

The cement and commodities pillar fluctuates from $1.1 billion to $1.2 billion.
