Chaos as passengers flee bus before it blows up in south London

Panic-gripped passengers fled a packed double-decker bus moments before it exploded in Wallington, south London around 2pm yesterday (Tuesday, November 4).

The driver pulled up after a police officer on patrol flagged down the bus when he spotted smoke coming from a rear wheel.

Passengers were then led to safety as the Crystal Palace-bound bus became engulfed in flames. No one was hurt.
