Star actress, Empress Njamah is living on the lap of luxury, no doubt, but she insists it has not beclouded her sense of modesty. The House of Empress boss, who also owns a spa and saloon in Abuja, FCT told ENCOMIUM Weekly in a chat on Sunday, June 23, 2013.
“It is the same questions. If I answer these questions, it depicts pride. Whatever I have now, it’s God that did it. I hate to flaunt my material wealth. When the time is right and the right man comes, I will tie the knot”.
The controversial actress and entrepreneur was in the news days back after she confessed that she has five cars. Empress also reportedly explained she wasn’t married because she is yet to find the right man who she described as a friend who wouldn’t be intimidated by her flamboyant status.
“I’m going to say this alright, I don’t care how people take it, the days when marriages were sweet and all beautiful are no more. If you listen to how your parents got married and how those days it was sweet, it’s not like that anymore. I’ve escorted a lot of people into marriages. I won’t say I’ve escorted them out of it.
“So, psychologically, it is not good for people and being what we are, a lot of people think because she is this, because she has that I don’t think I will be able to handle her. A lot of people can’t stand an industrious woman, especially if she’s doing well. It’s the mentality of the people. If a man looks at me, I’m a car freak, alright.
“I have five cars and I’m not doing it because I want to show off, a lot of people don’t even know they are my cars. But I’m trying to be honest with you and I’m always trying to say it the way it is, not minding whatever. If a man comes and says blablabla, he cannot handle me, then he shouldn’t bother.
“Every woman’s dream is to get married but it is not just to get married but to get married to your friend. I want to marry my friend”, Miss Njamah stated frankly.
In her 20s and graciously endowed, Empress’ romance with popular singer, Timaya crashed years back. She was also romantically linked with a controversial Lagos cleric, an allegation she vehemently denied. The thespian hails from a family of film makers. Her blood brothers, John and Aquilla are all in Nollywood.
And now one of Nigeria’s richest actresses, Empress recently confessed having all of five cars including a Range Rover spot and Toyota Camry. The serial entrepreneur is also building a vast business empire in Abuja, FCT. She is however, not going to be talking about them so as not to give wrong impression about her attitude to fame and wealth.
