MTN Y’ello Care hosts First Y’ello Den

In line with the 2023 MTN Y’ello Care theme, ‘Empowering entrepreneurs to unlock growth and job creation for communities’, MTN hosted the first Y’ello Den, which featured a pitch-a-thon that allowed young entrepreneurs to pitch their business before a panel of accomplished business owners.

The Y’ello Den Session was held during the SME exhibition and Trade Fair event hosted by MTN Nigeria on Wednesday, 21 June 2023 as part of activities for the ongoing Y’ello Care. The event also had the Lagos State First Lady, Ibijoke Sanwo-Olu in attendance, as she encouraged the entrepreneurs, and toured all the stands of the exhibiting business owners.

Judging the Y’ello Den pitch-a-thon were three esteemed guests, Kolapo Ogungbile, Head Vatebra, Nwanne Nwonwu, Founder, Talent Agency, and Nnaemeka Nwankwo, Senior Manager, IAFS, MTN Nigeria, who were able to pinpoint the value in the business pitches and expertly decide on the most deserving participating businesses.

In order of their ranking, the businesses that emerged  top of the Y’ello Den pitch-a-thon were EDUPali, Equilog, Lihon Store, Eden, and Africacomicade. Big congratulations to the winners of the first-ever Y’ello Den!

These businesses were rewarded with access to valuable insights and financial tools to scale their businesses. They also received digital solutions, including 5G Routers, MTN Thryve Ads Subscription, Data, Voice, and Bulk SMS services available on Enguage and will be on-boarded as MoMo Merchants.
