Nigerians mock Metuh as he promises to refund N400 m

Just 5 months after Chief Olisa Metuh arrogantly stated that he would rather starve in detention than refund the N400 million the EFCC is trying him for, the former Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) spokesman has made a remarkable U turn.

Chief Metuh, who has had a lot of time to change his mind (5 months of trial) has through his lawyers, said he was now ready to refund the N400 million traced to his company, which is believed to be part of the $2.1 billion arms cash allegedly diverted at the Office National Security Adviser (ONSA).

Mr. Olisa Metuh’s lead defence counsel, Dr. Onyechi Ikpeazu (SAN), has said his client has told the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission that he is willing to return the N400m in question.
