Gidi Up actor, Okechukwu Chukwudi Ukeje, better known as OC Ukeje, is set to tie the knot with Canada-based fiancee Ibukun Togonu tomorrow (Saturday, November 8) at Hoare’s Memorial Methodist Cathedral, 321 Herbert Macaulay St, Sabo, Yaba, Lagos.
The reception is to follow afterwards at The Incubator, 7-8 Yusuf Abiodun Way, City of David Road, Victoria Island, Lagos.
The 33-year-old Marine Science graduate of the University of Lagos (UNILAG) won the 2007 Amstel Malta Box Office (AMBO) and has not looked back since.
He has gone on to feature in flicks such as Wetin Dey (2007) produced by the BBC World Service Trust, Confusion Na Wa, Awakening, Comrade, Two Brides and a Baby, Hoodrush, White Waters, Charles Novia-directed Alan Poza and recently-released blockbuster Half of a Yellow Sun (2014). He also features in the second season of Gidi Up.
He has starred alongside Nollywood A-listers such as Joke Silva, Rita Dominic and Iretiola Doyle.
He has notable awards to his credit, and they include: Africa Movie Academy Awards (AMAA) for Most Promising Actor (White Waters); 2013 Nigeria Entertainment Awards (NEA) for Best Lead Actor in a Film (Alan Poza); 2013 Best of Nollywood Awards (BON) for Best Lead Actor in an English Movie (Alan Poza); 2013 Nollywood Movies Awards (NMA) for Best Actor in a Lead Role (Hoodrush); 2013 Africa Magic Viewers Choice Awards (AMVCA) for Best Actor in a Drama (Two Brides and a Baby).
