PDP NWC renders all candidates endorsements invalid

The National leadership of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP has rendered all endorsements of candidates by state executive officers invalid.

This was the resolution made yesterday (October 9, 2014) at the meeting of the party’s National Working Committee, NWC, where the party also threatened to sanction any erring officers or state chapters.

It said, “The NWC charges all our members and supporters to disregard all such endorsements as the PDP will conduct primaries to duly elect our flag bearers in line with   provisions of the Electoral Act and the constitution of our great party.”

The governors of Enugu, Akwa Ibom, Ebonyi, Delta and Rivers had previously endorsed Ifeanyi Ugwuanyi, Mr. Udom Emmanuel, Professor Onyebuchi Chukwu, Anthony Chucks Obuh and Nyesom Wike respectively.
