PROPHET AJANAKU’S FAMILY AT WAR OVER ESTATE

– Share cars while resurrection prayer was on,  Church in disarray over sudden and controversial death of clergy

+ Widow appointed as new leader

BARELY a week after the passage of popular clergy, Prophet Ireti Ajanaku, some of his family members are battling his widow, Joy, over his multi-million naira estate.

Insiders alleged that trouble started when the remains of the late prophet were brought to his Lagos home on Sunday, August 18, 2013.  According to ENCOMIUM Weekly source, while the church members were keeping vigil, praying for his resurrection, his family members were busy identifying some of his belongings they would appropriate once he was certified dead.

“I can tell you authoritatively that the family membrs have started sharing some of his cars and other valuables.  When they came to Lagos while the church was waiting on the Lord for his resurrection, each of them pointed at choice cars such as his Infiniti, Toyota Avalon, Toyota Celica, Cardillac Escalade, Lincoln car and Chrysler and shared them among themselves.  They would have taken them away but for the fact that he was not yet buried.  When the widow realized what was happening, she took some of the valuables she could la

y hands on and moved them to an unknown destination.”

Furthermore, ENCOMIUM Weekly learnt the battle has been extended to some of his landed property scattered within and outside Lagos.  “Sincerely, its double jeopardy for the young woman.”

CHURCH IN DISARRAY

An inside source squealed to ENCOMIUM Weekly that Prophet Ajanaku’s untimely death and rumour of association with Ogboni fraternity has really affected the over 3,000 worshippers who throng his Christ Revival Victory Chapel International Church along Ipaja, Lagos.  According to our source, the church was scanty on Sunday, August 25, 2013.

“The prophet’s untimely death really affected the ministry.  Some people have deserted the ministry due to various reasons.  The members have become like a sheep without a shepherd.  Personally too, I didn’t worship there on Sunday.  The reasons are that many people go there for his prophetic prowess.  Also, his untimely death and the controversies trailing his death really weakened the heart of some members.  In fact, the ministry couldn’t open for mid-week service last week.”

WHEN WILL HE BE BURIED?

One of the ministry’s spokespersons revealed to us that the family members are still consulting along with some of the ministry’s representatives on the burial plans.  According to him, the burial plans would be revealed before the end of September 2013.

Furthermore, he said that his body would remain at the Military Hospital, Yaba, Lagos, till they conclude plans.

PASTOR (MRS.) JOY IRETI AJANAKU TAKES OVER CHURCH

ENCOMIUM Weekly gathered authoritatively that the ministry’s board has agreed to install the widow, Joy Ajanaku as the new General Overseer of Christ Revival Victory Chapel International Church and President of the Ajanaku World Outreach.  According to the ministry’s spokesperson who confirmed this to us on Friday, August 30, 2013, they would declare her officially soon.

“Although we have not announced it, I can tell you authoritatively that we have chosen late Prophet Ajanaku’s wife as the new General Overseer. We would announce that soon.  Meanwhile, she can’t grant any interview for now. You can verify it that she has never spoken to anybody.”

On Saturday, August 24, 2013, when ENCOMIUM Weekly visited his residence at Command area of Ipaja, Lagos, it was empty and only two security guards were around.  We learnt the once bubbling empire has become a ghost of itself since its owner has transited.

HIS PRIZED POSSESSION

ENCOMIUM Weekly’s checks revealed that late Prophet Ajanaku was a sucker for exotic cars.  In a report, he claimed “a lot of people who know me believe I don’t have a life and I am mysterious.  That is why I decided I would also have a hobby which is my love for exotic cars.”  The controversial clergy paraded about seven wonders on wheels among which are Infiniti, Toyota Avalon and Chrysler.

Popular clergy and top inspirational and gospel singer, Tope Alabi’s spiritual father, Prophet Ireti Ajanaku was confirmed dead on Thursday, August 22, 2013 by a team of doctors.  His corpse was deposited at the Military Hospital, Yaba, Lagos on Friday, August 23, 2013.

The late Ajanaku began his journey into the land beyond on Saturday, August 17, 2013, when he visited his family members at their family house popularly known as Owo Ope family in Gbongan, Osun State.  He complained he was feeling feverish and went to sleep.  However, after few hours, he ceased breathing.  Immediately, his siblings beckoned on their eldest brother, Senator Wale Ajanaku, who broke the news immediately at Gbongan, Osun State.

After few hours, he suddenly jerked into consciousness and cried out thrice, “Thank you, Jesus,” and slipped into coma.  That fuelled the belief of his worshippers that he was not dead.  However, after five days of vigil chanting, ‘Wake up, wake up’ by his members, they gave up hope when doctors certified him dead on Thursday, August 22, 2013 and his corpse deposited at the morgue.

He was married to Joy Ajanaku and the union produced two children, Stella and Apotieri.
