Those who are likely to become AMBODE cabinet members

IF the information at ENCOMIUM Weekly’s disposal is anything to go by, Governor Akinwunmi Ambode cabinet will be ready before the end of this month. We gathered that finishing touches are being put to the list.

Some of the names that are being bandied as possible members of the cabinet are:

 

PRINCE GBOLAHAN LAWAL, the former ADC to Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu and the immediate past Commissioner for Agriculture and Cooperative in Lagos State is said to likely make a return to the cabinet.

HON. LOLA AKANDE, the immediate elder sister of Senator Oluremi Tinubu and two time member of Lagos House of Assembly is another name on the cabinet list.  Hon. Akande was said to have dropped her House of Representatives ambition for Ikeja Federal Constituency on the order of Asiwaju Tinubu. Her compensation, we gathered is the commissionership.

LATEEF ADEREMI IBIROGBA, the immediate past Commissioner for Information and Strategy is also said to be becoming back. He is the candidate of Governor Raufu Aregbesola of the State of Osun who still has a tight grip on Alimosho Local Government Area where the man is coming from.

KALEJAIYE ADEBOYE PAUL, the former Special Adviser to former Governor Fashola (SAN), on Rural Development during Fashola’s first term in office and a prominent member of Ambode’s campaign team is said to be coming on board as a member of his cabinet. Kalejaiye twice stepped down his House of Representatives ambition on the order of Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu. He was one of the few people that were milling around Ambode even before his governorship ambition was officially announced.

He also played a pivotal role in Ambode emergence at the party primary held at Onikan Stadium, Lagos, in December 2014.  He also has the support and the backing of the leaders in his Ajeromi/Ifelodun LG.

ENGR. GANIYU JOHNSON, the two time Special Adviser to former Governor Fashola (SAN) on Works and Infrastructure, is also rumoured to be coming back as a commissioner this time around.  As a matter of fact, he was penned down in 2011, as a Commissioner for Works and Infrastructure only to be changed at the last minute during the inauguration. He is said to likely return this time around as a commissioner in the same ministry.

FOLARIN COKER, a.k.a Folly Coker, the immediate past Special Adviser to Governor Fashola on Central Business District and Managing Director, Lagos State Number Plate Production Authority, may return this time around as a commissioner in Governor Akinwunmi Ambode’s cabinet.

GBOYEGA SALVADOR-ADEBAYO, the immediate past Special Adviser to former Governor Babatunde Raji Fashola (SAN), on Parastatals Monitoring, is most likely to return to the cabinet as a member.

HON ABDULLATEEF ABDULKAREEM, the former Special Adviser to former Governor Fashola (SAN) on Political and Legislative Powers from 2007-2011 and the deputy governor hopeful in last general elections, may become a member of the new cabinet. He played a pivotal role in rallying the Muslims behind Governor Akinwunmi Ambode.

ADENIJI KAZEEM, the Deputy Director General of Ambode Campaign Organisation in the last general elections and a close friend of the governor is also said to likely make the new cabinet list.

IDOWU AJANAKU, the former Senior Special Assistant to former Governor Fashola (SAN), and one of the media aides of Governor Akinwunmi Ambode , before and during the electioneering campaign, is also said to likely make the list of the next executive cabinet of Lagos State.

KEHINDE BAMIGBETAN, the immediate past chairman of Ejigbo LCDA for two terms is also said to likely be a member of the incoming Executive Council, a.k.a EXCO of the state.

HON. DR. AJIBAYO ADEYEYE the immediate past Majority Leader of Lagos House of Assembly who lost his third term bid at the party primary to Hon. Tunde Buraimoh is also said to likely make the list of Ambode’a cabinet.

HON. ADEBIMPE AKINSOLA, who lost her second term bid to represent her Ikorodu Constituency 2 in the Lagos House of Assembly at the party primary is being positioned too as a cabinet member of Governor Akinwunmi Ambode administration.

HON. RAMOTALLAHI AKINOLA-HASSAN, who lost in the general elections for her second term bid to represent her Amuwo-Odofin Constituency 2, we gathered is also likely to be on the cabinet list.
