Encomium
Popular comic actor, Bolaji Amusan, better addressed as Mr Latin, has stated the reason he decided to go back to school despite being successful in his career without having been a graduate.
Speaking with encomium.ng on Wednesday, November 22, 2017, the brilliant role interpreter who is currently a 200 Level student at National Open University of Nigeria (NOUN), Abeokuta, Ogun state campus said, “I decided to go back to school to upgrade myself. It’s not something good to continue being a big fish in a small pond. You need to enlarge your coast and become bigger than what you think you’re knowledge wise.”
On how it feels enrolling as a university student now after leaving secondary school about 30 something years ago, the Gbogan, Osun born theatre practitioner reacted excitedly, “It feels good. I feel very happy and excited about that. And I give glory to God that made the dream a reality.”
Speaking on his course of study and why, Mr Latin stated, “I am a student of Peace and Conflict Resolution. I am not studying Business Administration as some people are saying. I really love the course I enrolled for because l want to be relevant in that field in future to my country and the world at large.”
