Abule Egba popular fun spot (Social Club) bubbles again

-As prostitutes regroup after completion of Progress Road

Popular fun spot in Abule Egba (Lagos) Social Club has come alive again after some months of lifelessness due to the rehabilitation of Progress Road (a link road to the spot) which has shut out fun seekers since the beginning of the massive reconstruction which ended a couple of weeks back.

encomium.ng’s checks at the place on Tuesday, October 3, 2017, revealed that all the regular commercial activities have commenced fully at place. Not only that, prostitutes who are the main attractions of many fun seekers patronising the enjoyment arena have also resumed their illicit trade even with new entrants on parade.

Although, most of these prostitutes are still lamenting low patronage as some of their customers have moved to other locations within the vicinity after a long wait.

One of the commercial sex workers who identified herself as Angela confirmed the situation but was optimistic that things will improve soon.

“Everywhere is bubbling now unlike when the rehabilitation of Progress Road was ongoing. The situation has not been favourable then at all apart from the fact that the economy hasn’t picked up. But now, most of the men who come here to catch fun on a regular basis have returned. And since they returned, life has started again. Many motorists can now access this place and patronage has also improved among all the bar owners who are directly attached to this place. A lot of my colleagues have relocated while there are also some new faces among us now. Anyway, we’re all catching fun. And thank God, police no longer harass us as they used to. I believe very soon, things will level up.”

On whether they have reviewed their prices upwardly, she reacted, “No, not at all. Even, with common N2,000 per short rest, men are still complaining. But the truth is that the more money you pay, the more the enjoyment. And everything is even negotiable depending on individual.”

An Asun seller, Mallam Sulaimon also expressed joy about the full reopening of business after a long time of redundancy. He, however, lamented losing a lot of money during the execution of the road project.

“We thank God, we’re back fully now. If you have been coming here regularly before the road was opened, you would have noticed that most of the seats here would be vacant. Nothing like relaxation at this club any more. This place, at times, would be empty. For almost three months, no sales at all. Most of the time, l would just leave the remaining ‘asun’ till the next day. But now, things have been picking up gradually. Many more people can even drive in and enjoy themselves without any stress. As you can see, the place is bubbling. Even, all the ‘runs girls’ who have disappeared when there was no patronage are gradually coming back, making the environment more lively now.”
