Baba Suwe insists on not being ill

Contrary to the tale spreading like harmattan fire, famous Yoruba comic actor, Alhaji Nurudeen Babatunde Omidina, better addressed as Baba Suwe, has refuted being seriously ill for the second time this year. He added that it’s just an evil imagination from some wicked souls.

Speaking with encomium.ng on Wednesday, October 4, 2017, the Oluaye of comedy, as Baba Suwe is also known, expressed discomfort about the tale, labeling those behind it as mere rumour mongers. He, however, enjoined his fans and the general public to shun the tale as there’s no iota of truth in it.

“Thank you, Tade. I don’t know where they got the information.I am not sick and I have not told anybody that I am sick. People have been calling me on it. But there’s nothing like truth about it. I won’t take ill by God’s grace. Please, don’t mind them. They’re all wicked rumour mongers.”

Meanwhile, the health issue of the renowned comedian has become an item of discussion on the lips of many within and outside the industry. Even, now that he has not been sighted in any event or location recently, that alone has fueled the speculation that all is not well with the Ikorodu, Lagos born theatre practitioner. But when we contacted him on the issue, he denied it all.
