Pastor Taiwo Odukoya completes 20,000 seater N4 billion auditorium

It’s victory at last for Pastor Taiwo Odukoya as he finally completed and dedicated his 20,000-seater N4 billion auditorium on Saturday, June 28, 2014. Insiders divulged to ENCOMIUM Weekly that the huge project actually began before the demise of Pastor Bimbo Odukoya, inside a huge expanse of land close to their headquarters at Ilupeju, Lagos. According to the member who spoke to us exclusively on Monday, June 30, 2014 the project was abandoned after the death of its initiator, Pastor (Mrs.) Bimbo Odukoya. However, her amiable husband, who is the ministry’s General Overseer decided to complete the abandoned project.

Thus, he set up a committee for the project headed by his deputy, Pastor Fred. We reliably gathered that he assisted Pastor Odukoya in sourcing funds from partners and members of the ministry who believed in it. According to our source, Nigerian contractors handled the ultra modern auditorium. The building was completed few days back alongside with the furnishing.

The spokesperson informed us that the dedication was on Saturday, June 28, 2014 and Sunday, June 29, 2014, inside the beautiful auditorium. According to her, Bishop David Oyedepo commissioned the project on Saturday, June 28, 2014, while the Redeemed Pastor Enoch Adejare Adeboye was the guest preacher on Sunday, June 29, 2014. She revealed that the church held a single service unlike their normal two services every Sunday. Other dignitaries at the event were Bishop Mike Okonkwo and Rev. Sam Adeyemi.

Taiwo Odukoya is a popular Nigerian pentecostal pastor, public speaker and author. He is the Senior Pastor of The Fountain of Life Church, Ilupeju, Lagos, Nigeria, a church with a membership of over 8,000 people. Prior to his call to the ministry in 1994, Odukoya worked for 12 years as a petroleum engineer with the Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation (NNPC).

In 1980, Pastor Odukoya met Bimbo Williams at the University of Ibadan and the two struck a relationship that led to their marriage in 1984. The marriage produced three children, Toluwani, Oluwajimi and Oluwatobi. On December 10, 2005, Bimbo Odukoya, along with 102 other people, died in the crashed Sosoliso Airlines flight 1145.
