Three months after the demise of Oba Okunade Sijuwade (85) on July 28, 2015 in a London hospital, a new Ooni has emerged.
Prince Adeyeye Enitan Ogunwusi (40) from the Giesi Ruling House, Ojaja Royal Compound of Agbedegbede is set to be crowned the current Ooni of Ile-Ife, Osun state.
This makes him the 51st Ooni to be crowned since Oduduwa, who was the first Ooni.
Osun state governor, Rauf Aregbesola, stated, “The kingmakers of Ife had completed the required process and communicated the choice of Prince Ogunwusi to my office for approval.”
Prince Ogunwusi holds a Higher National Diploma in Accountancy from the Polytechnic Ibadan and he’s also a member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Nigeria.
