Valentine season is here and there is love in the air, with several shows in the offing. ENCOMIUM Weekly presents some of the top shows to look out for…
LOVE ON THE DANCE FLOOR
Merchants of romance, promises that this year’s Valentine would be filled with lots of fun and even more adventurous at the exclusive Valentine cocktail dinner tagged Love on the dance floor. The event will hold at Oriental Hotel, Victoria Island, Lagos on Valentine’s Day (Sunday, February 14, 2016) from 5pm. The previous edition, tagged Always and forever was sold out and featured Joke Silva, Olu Jacobs and Funmi Akingbade, the sex expert.
This year’s dinner would be featuring Hon. Desmond Elliot, Femi Jacobs, Lanre Olusola, Sound Sultan, Eva Alordiah and more. There would be kissing competition, renewal of vows, gele competition and a whole lot of other romantic games. Tickets are N25,000 per couple (regular), N50,000 per couple (VIP), N100,000 per couple (VVIP) and can be gotten on online ticketing platforms.
THE LOVE BOAT PARTY
The Primi Piatti boat is a luxurious and well maintained water craft anchored at Admiralty Way, Lekki, Lagos, and it is reputed as Nigeria’s first walk on and walk off boat. The boat has a 120 guest capacity with a resident chef and upscale dining. There would be a 3 course meal, couple’s painting session and live entertainment. The event will also hold on Valentine’s Day from 4pm. The boat’s take off point is at the Primi Platti, Admiralty Anchor, Lekki, Lagos. The ticket is N48,000 per couple.
RIBBONS N’ ROSES
After its success with the Timi Dakolo edition, Ribbons N’ Roses is set to redefine Valentine experience yet again. It is to be headlined by award-winning producer, singer and songwriter, Cohbams Asuquo. This edition promises to be a hit. It is designed for 300 guests only. It is packaged by Edi Lawani and Associates Production.
It would hold on Valentine’s Day at Eko Hotels & Suites, Victoria Island, Lagos. The tickets go for N65,000 per couple, N600,000 for a table of eight and N1 million to N2 million for corporate.
VALENTINE 4 TWO
Hastag Entertainment presents Valentine for Two, a Valentine’s Day evening of dinner and dance like no other, just for you and your partner. Amazing two course dinner for two at Ariya Terrance, Intercontinental Hotel, Victoria Island, Lagos, on Sunday, February, 14, 2016, at 6pm. A regular table of two costs N50,000.
VALENTINE’S BRUNCH SPECIAL WITH FEMILEYE
Samantha’s Bristo and Grill would be having a Valentine’s Day event at Olawale Daodu, Ikoyi, Lagos. Samantha’s is a modern bistro and grill serving simple hearty meals with influences from British, French, Italian and American cuisines. Femileye, who is a Nigerian born afro-juju guitarist, vocalist, composer and music producer, would thrill. A 3 course meal deal for two at N15,000 would also be enjoyed.
LOVE RENDEZVOUS
The management of Airport Hotel, Ikeja, Lagos, is bringing a new experience to Valentine’s Day celebration in Nigeria. The Valentine’s Day weekend getaway tagged, Love Rendezous from February 13 – 14, 2016.
Lined up for the weekend includes Valentine pool side party jam on Friday, February 12. Popular music artiste Sir Shina Peters, Jaywon will thrill on Saturday, February 13 at 7pm, until the early hours of Sunday, February 14, 2016. From 5pm to 10pm, ace comedian, Gbenga Adeyinka will perform while dinner is served. The entire package, lodging inclusive for three nights costs N65,000 per couple.
